This beer stein features a full wrap scene of Viking warriors, including Leif Erikssen holding a mug of beer, discovering America around the year 1000 A.D. Vikings with splendid silver helmets, swords, spears, axes, mallets and round shields advance on the rocky shoreline, ready for the unknown, with their ship’s sails billowing in the background. A dog joins the excitement and an eagle, symbolizing the discovery of America, flies overhead. The deep cobalt blue glaze background mimics the sky and accents the detailed hand painted decoration. A Celtic braided vine pattern, Celtic ruin, axe, sword and shields border the full wrap scene.
The lid features a detailed 3D pewter figurine of a Viking holding an axe and horn of mead.
